Our policies may appear rigid, but they serve a purpose: These rabbits have already been homeless once, so it is our goal to provide each rabbit with a permanent, loving home where he or she can flourish for the rest of his or her life. We refer to this home as a "forever home".

We require that you read our "Rabbit Care Guide" prior to submitting your Adoption Application. The Guide is a fairly quick read, and most people find it very helpful in determining whether a rabbit will be a good companion. It also gives you a good sense of what to expect from sharing your home with a rabbit.

Bunny Buddies adopts to indoor homes only. We can advise you on bunny-

All bunnies are spayed or neutered before becoming available for adoption.
|
|

|
We do not separate bonded pairs.
|
|

|
If you already have bunnies, dogs, other pets, or children, we can help with matchmaking. Bunnies can very successfully cohabitate with with most other species with proper preparations. However, some species and breeds pose a large enough threat to preclude adoption.

|
Rabbits should never be a child's full responsibility. An adult must sign the adoption paperwork and agree to accept responsibility for the rabbit.

Any other rabbits in your home should be spayed or neutered (and have waited several weeks after the surgery) and should meet the new rabbit first. Should you need assistance in choosing a vet to perform the spay/neuter, we can help.

We reserve the right to make a home visit to ensure the suitability of the home environment for the rabbit you choose.

Even if you are approved for adoption with Bunny Buddies, a member of our Foster/Adoption team — in consultation with the foster parent of the bunny in question — reserves the right to determine that a specific rabbit is not a good match for your family.
